After making Aimee a new rug for her bedroom, I had a stash of Paintbox Yarns T-Shirt yarn left over and one rainy morning, decided to make her a couple of storage baskets for her bedroom shelves.

These baskets are super quick to make, so a perfect project to get done on a lazy evening, and uses just over 600g of t-shirt yarn.
Materials
- T-shirt yarn – I used Paintbox Yarns T-shirt Yarns in Off White, Light Greys, Light Pinks and Bold Yellows
- 12 mm crochet hook
- Small hook – for pulling loose ends through (much easier than using a darning needle!)
- Scissors
Pattern Notes
- Work any stitches between the parenthesis [ ] in the same stitch.
- The pattern is written is US terminology.
- Any pattern repeats are marked between * to ;
- You will be working along both sides of the foundation chain throughout Row 1.
- The pattern is worked in a round so you do not need to turn your work.
- The Ch 1 at the start of the round does not count as a st and should not be worked in to.
- The numbers at the end of each round denotes how many stitches will be in each row (not including chain stitches).
- During Round 5, you will be working in the back loops if each sc and each ch of Round 4.
- The base of the basket may not seem to lay flat at first but once the sides have been made, it will do.
- This pattern uses t-shirt yarn which is a super chunky yarn. It can be made in other weight yarns but the sizing will vary and it may not be as sturdy as it is with t-shirt yarn.
- The pattern comes in two sizes – small and large. The small basket measures approximately 4.5″ x 7″ x 3″ (W x L x D). The large measures approximately 5″ x 10″ x 3.5″.
