We may be only half way through the February, but it’s already turning into such an exciting month! Coupled with various celebrations later on in the month, I also launched my Rainbow Ripples Blanket in my Etsy and Ravelry store.
When the lovely folk over at Knitting Network got in touch to see if I wanted to team up and offer a yarn pack especially for the blanket, I simply could not refuse!
The Rainbow Ripples Blanket yarn pack offers all the yarn you need to create your own blanket. The yarn pack offers excellent value for money at £14.99 for 8 balls of Stylecraft Special DK. I’m so excited about the yarn packs!
I’d sat on the idea of my Rainbow Ripples Blanket for some time, and even though the sample worked up perfectly for me, I was completely full of self doubt as to whether it would make sense to others. I’d completed my swatch in one solid colour and I just wasn’t feeling it.
This year, I eventually decided to bite the bullet and get the pattern sorted properly. I went back to my trusty rainbow recipe and knew straight away that I was on to a winner! The blanket features the winning combinations of rainbows, ripples and texture, which made me feel so happy every time I worked on it! It really is one of those ‘can’t put down’ types of projects.
Rainbows have always been one of my favourite colourways to work with, whether it be bright and bold or beautiful pastels to more muted and mellow tones, you simply cannot go wrong. They always find a way to sneak into my makes at least once over the course of the year and can certainly perk up any grey rainy day.
The colours in my Rainbow Ripples blanket have long been my favourites, from corner to corner blankets to simple granny squares, these 7 colours along with cream are staples for any rainbow in my opinion.
Don’t forget! If you do make one of my designs, don’t forget to tag me on social media. I love seeing all the makes created by my wonderful followers!
